A lot has happened in the last few months. I can hardly believe my last blog post was last year. Yeah. Crazy. Since then, Christmas, New Year’s, Groundhog Day, friends’ birthdays, travel to California and Washington, St. Patrick’s Day, Presidents’ Day and more all have passed. Good grief! Time flies, whether having fun or not.
Alas, that means little time for painting, either, but I try to get in a brush stroke or two here and there. And since I sold five paintings in December, my inventory is low.
Time to get painting!
I do love spring and the opportunity to get outside, leave the door open, air out the house. I’m not good at plein air painting — I’m a slow painter — but just going somewhere and sketching, getting a change of scenery, flexes the creative muscles.
So Happy New Year! Happy belated Groundhog Day, Valentine’s Day, Presidents’ Day, etc. Enjoy the nice weather while you can. I’ll be outside painting.
Happy spring! Er, summer?
